Fantastic New Year's Eve Experience
I had an amazing stay for New Year's Eve! From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly, and my room was spacious with a huge bathroom and comfortable bed. The sirloin steak I had for dinner was one of the best I've ever tasted, and the atmosphere during the live band entertainment made it a night to remember. A hearty full English breakfast the next morning topped off the experience beautifully.

This place suits me perfectly, providing free wi-fi, a cozy lounge bar, and delicious meals. The staff once helped me return forgotten items, which I appreciated. I highly recommend it for a warm, cute stay. I’m coming back for Christmas!

The Henry’s cheddar toasties at The George? Absolute legends! Not to mention the scrummy local ale that really warms the cockles. The economy twin room was spacious and spotless, and we got fresh towels daily—bonus!
Now, the narrow double bed didn’t quite cut it for a comfy cuddle—a bit too snug, let’s say! Breakfast had a bit of a letdown compared to the glam photos, with just one egg and no fruits. Still, can't say I didn't enjoy the grub!

Couple seeking decent stay
Had a lovely big bath and a powerful shower waiting for us after a long bike ride. The staff arranged a packed lunch even though we were leaving before breakfast started! Really shows they care about their guests.
It wasn’t exactly a bargain, but you get what you pay for.

would definitely book again
The room was huge with a stunning four-poster bed. It had a luxurious roll-top bath and a lovely ensuite shower. The breakfast included perfectly cooked crispy bacon and fresh eggs. There was also excellent soundproofing, allowing a peaceful night despite being above the bar. Dog-friendly, which was a bonus!

I had a lovely stay at The George in Hatherleigh. The room was spacious, clean, and came with a large four-poster bed that felt luxurious. Having a roll-top bath was a real treat. The breakfast options were delightful, with crispy bacon and perfectly cooked eggs. The bar area had a great atmosphere, and the pub food, especially the steak pie, was top-notch. I appreciated the complimentary tea and coffee in the room, with real milk available too. I struggled with the pillows. they were too thin and didn't offer much support. Perhaps a revamp on the pillow selection could enhance comfort. Some kitchen noise occasionally seeped into the room, but it wasn't too disruptive. the welcoming staff really made my stay memorable, and I'd be happy to return.

Superb stay with friendly vibes
Had a lovely night! The staff were super chill and so helpful. Breakfast was the highlight, like wow, the full English was massive and tasty, but honestly, we couldn’t finish it. The dining area was nice but a bit busy during brekkie. Just wish the WiFi was stronger, bit spotty at times.

Just an excellent fit for a budget stay in Hatherleigh with good price value. The lunch menu was a little typical but both our lunches were home cooked and very nice. Make sure to check the parking options before arrival.
